Rosenthal

Rosenthal wurde 1879 in der deutschen Stadt Selb, Bayern, gegründet. Firmengründer Philipp Rosenthal verlegte seine Porzellanmalerei aus dem nordrhein-westfälischen Werl. Die Produktion eigener Porzellanwaren begann 1891. Zwischen 1897 und 1934 leitete Philipp mehrere Manufakturen in den Städten Kronach, Marktredwitz, Selb, Waldenburg, Sophienthal und Waldershof. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatte Philipp über 5.000 Mitarbeiter in 10 verschiedenen Unternehmen. Heute ist Rosenthal eines der größten und bekanntesten Unternehmen für Haushaltswaren und Geschirr in Deutschland. 2009 wurde das Unternehmen vom italienischen Küchengerätehersteller Sambonet gekauft und in Rosenthal GmbH umbenannt.
